According to Robert Burns in "Unwind‐ 10 Ways to Manage Stress and Improve your Wellbeing", there are several useful ways to release individual's stress which comes from various sources.
Burns suggested being prepared for the future. In other words, planning for the future will make you better prepared for the stressful life events that are bound to occur in everybody's life now and in the coming years.(RobertBurns,Unwind,p.250) Also in this chapter, Burns enumerated what other people can do by themselves to cope, and what adults can do to help children cope.
Burns discussed other ways and means of controlling stress such as "Maintain Good Health"(skill 4, Unwind),which shows readers healthy diet manual and the benefits of exercise, "Enhance Your Self-concept"(skill 5, Unwind) which is that the author thought understanding ourselves will help us to become more positive about ourselves and allow us to build on our strengths and achieve what we are truly capable of, and mentioning "Build Relationship", Burns expected that it will help people to cope with stressful events much more effectively.

Planning for the future is really a good way to reduce stress. But if people can not complete what they have planed, they will be frastrated. This is a problem that I have as well.
You went to exercise at night also for releasing stress??? yes! I also agree that we should prepare things well. It makes ourselves more relax.
